The research in our lab is centered around understanding how the mechanisms that evolved to regulate body temperature can be repurposed to combat obesity and metabolic diseases in humans.

We blend discovery-based systems approaches, hypothesis-driven molecular and cell biology, and mammalian physiology to obtain integrated, high-resolution insights into the adipose niche and identify pathways that regulate adipose tissue development, function, and obesity-induced metabolic dysfunction.
